About
Engineering with purpose
I am an undergraduate student in the International Hellenic University in the Department of Information & Electronics Engineering, focusing on practical, real-world solutions built from sensors, image processing, and intelligent actuation. I love working across the full stack of hardware and software — from designing low-cost sensing systems to prototyping devices with 3D printing, microcontrollers, and efficient embedded code. My goal is to create accessible, innovative technologies that translate real-world data into reliable solutions.
- Hands-on experience with sensors, image processing, robotics, and low-cost embedded systems
- Skilled in microcontroller programming (ESP32, Arduino, STM32) and hardware–software integration
- Passionate about practical innovation through 3D printing, electronics, and clean embedded design

An integrated, low-cost system for measuring minute displacements of Ionic Polymer–Metal Composite (IPMC) actuators in water. A custom 10× microscope, USB camera, and LED backlighting provide high-contrast imaging with spatial sampling of approximately 0.5 μm per pixel. Predictive grid-based tracking combines edge detection, Harris corners, and a geometric constraint to locate the actuator tip at 30 fps, achieving approximately 99% frame-level detection accuracy below 2 Hz. Dedicated electronics detect supply and load faults, with all 100 injected faults detected and no false triggers during three hours of normal operation. The framework offers a compact, reproducible alternative to laser-based and Digital Image Correlation methods for underwater micro-displacement measurement.

An Online Framework for Quality Control, Anomaly Detection and Auto-Calibration of Hourly Air-Quality Data from an IoT Sensor Node
10th International Workshop on Microsystems · 8 December 2025 · Thessaloniki, Greece · pp. 33–36

An end-to-end pipeline for improving the reliability of hourly air-quality data from a multi-sensor IoT node on a university campus. A Python backend and web dashboard combine rule-based quality control, multivariate anomaly detection, time-series analysis, and 24-hour forecasts. Online monitoring visualizes incoming measurements and quality flags, while offline analysis corrects spikes, severe anomalies, and small gaps using robust median-based estimates. A month-long pilot reduced the impact of extreme anomalies on PM2.5 statistics while preserving daily patterns, supporting both small-scale monitoring and hands-on education with live sensor data.
